Board Position Opportunities

Join us in the journey of making a lasting impact on our community! Mothers of Minors (M.O.M.) is on a mission to create positive change in the lives of low-income and homeless individuals and their families, and we're looking for dedicated leaders to help steer our cause. If you're a serious, passionate individual who shares our commitment to providing shelter, financial assistance, and comprehensive support beyond just basic needs, then we invite you to apply for a board position.

Our board members play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's direction, and you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise and interests to our cause through various committees:

Finance

  • Treasurer: Are you an experienced accounting firm, individual with non-profit accounting background, or a seasoned CPA? Join us in managing our budget, collaborating with our bookkeeper, overseeing financial policies, and ensuring compliance with the IRS.

  • Bookkeeper: Help us maintain accurate financial records by establishing efficient accounting systems, verifying transactions, and reconciling accounts to ensure the financial health of our organization.

Fundraising and Resource Development

  • Grantwriter: If you have a wealth of experience in fundraising, local and possibly national connections, and a passion for supporting our mission, become a vital part of our team. Your efforts will help secure critical funding to sustain our initiatives.

  • In Kind Gifts Coordinator: Take charge of our non-cash donations by soliciting donors, nurturing relationships, tracking and recording gifts, and organizing donation drives and distributions.

Programs

  • Community Outreach/Events (2 Positions): If event planning is your forte or you have a knack for sponsor development, raffles, and auctions, then we're looking for you. Help us introduce M.O.M. to new friends and businesses, both locally and nationally, while creating and coordinating signature events alongside our Founder.

  • Volunteer Coordinator: Assist in staffing M.O.M. events through email, phone, and networking, ensuring our initiatives receive the support they need to thrive.

Your involvement as a board member will be instrumental in our journey to make a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you for considering our mission and the opportunity to be a part of a community that truly cares.
