Who We Are
M.O.M. (Mothers of Minors) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the elderly, disabled, and low-income individuals, with a special focus on single-parent households. Our mission is to provide shelter, financial assistance, and a comprehensive range of services to help low-income and homeless individuals and their families thrive. At M.O.M., we aim to go beyond offering temporary relief, striving instead to create lasting solutions that empower and uplift.
Founded by four single mothers with a shared vision for change, M.O.M. is rooted in compassion, resilience, and faith. We are God-fearing women who believe in the power of prayer and community, though we are not affiliated with or sponsored by any religious organizations. Our work is sustained through the generosity of local businesses and community members, who share our commitment to making a difference.
The individuals and families who turn to M.O.M. for support face significant challenges, often tied to poverty, abuse, displacement, or job loss. Single parents in particular may have endured domestic violence or unstable home environments, leaving them in urgent need of safe, secure shelter. But shelter alone is not enough. Homeless mothers and their children require holistic support, including mental and physical healthcare, addiction recovery programs, psychological counseling, educational guidance, job training, childcare, and eventual job placement assistance.
At M.O.M., we believe that with the right resources and support, every family can rebuild and succeed. Together, we’re not just changing lives—we’re building brighter futures.
